Job description

At ISATI GLOBAL SOLUTIONS we have a wide variety of opportunities and, therefore, we believe that getting to know us is the first step to finding your ideal project.

We need an engineering profile with experience in aerospace composite materials and processes, specifically for the position of COMPOSITE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, to join our client's projects in Belgium.

Mission

As Composite Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for starting up our composite products and/or managing modifications to existing composite products, in close collaboration with different departments (design office, quality, production, purchasing, etc.).

You will also have industrial responsibility (focal point) for activities linked to the industrialization of a composite product in the development phase, or to modifications in series production. You will be responsible for all activities (preparation, production, subcontracting, tooling, etc.) to achieve project objectives (costs, quality, deadlines).

Roles and responsibilities:

Represent production on development workflows to provide composite production experience, ensure adequate production resources and guide design in compliance with cost, quality and deadline requirements.
Plan, manage and implement the production resources needed to manufacture new products.
Take charge of, delegate and support the following activities within the Composite industrialization team (CdC):
- Technical documentation (manufacturing routines, data sheets)
- Definition of requirements (quantity of material, tooling, specific equipment)
- Programming of automated resources (NC, cutting, laser projection, oven/press)
Implement productivity and/or quality improvement plans for existing composite products
Acquire and share a modern vision of how to bring new products into production.
Contribute ideas for the implementation of new products during the bidding phase, and participate in estimating manufacturing costs.
Collaborate with subcontractors and provide support on technical aspects of subcontracting.

Requirements

Education:

Industrial engineer, university degree or equivalent experience;
English, and French minimum B2 level (or equivalent): ability to hold discussions with office and production personnel.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in composite materials and a good knowledge of composite processes
Solid, proven skills in the manufacturing processes of the field concerned.
Experience in aeronautics is desirable. Experience in other industries is also an asset.
Tools: Office suite, MS Project, Portal, Catia (or CAD/CAM software), and have a general knowledge of industrial IT (SAP)
Willingness to live in Belgium and to travel (possibility of frequent, long-term travel for projects in the development phase).
