Job description

 

We are searching for a DATA SCIENTIST to join an interesting project, working directly for one of our customers.

Mission

Data Engineer supporting cloud-based predictive analytics platforms for the wind industry sector. You will be working directly on SW and data features of a DigitalClone software to achieve business goals.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to translate business objectives into data and analytics solutions, and translate results into business insights using appropriate data engineering and data science applications
  • Mine and analyze data to assess opportunities and develop solutions
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources
  • Develop data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
  • Use predictive modeling to assess asset health and optimize asset performances
  • Develop reusable frameworks, models, and components to enable rapid prototyping
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
  • Drive best practices in data science and machine learning 

Requirements

 

Minimum qualifications

  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, applied mathematics, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • 5+ years of analytics development or machine learning engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of data science and machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques; 
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and using these algorithms to solve business problems and develop solutions
  • Expert knowledge of Python programming and leading machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch etc.)
  • Experience in at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred) and associated machine learning services, e.g., Amazon SageMaker
  • Familiar with Agile software development practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain and discuss machine learning concepts with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to collaborate with people at all levels and with multiple-office/region teams
  • Ability to work without supervision and juggle priorities to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • English C1

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following:

  • Extensive knowledge of wind plant data, wind turbine design, or operations of a wind plant.
  • Experience building/running systems with AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience using distributed computing engines, e.g. Dask, Ray, Spark
  • Experience using big data technologies and distributed computing engines, e.g. HDFS, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, Solr, Dask
